Satire

Of all the bothersome absurdities that exist in this world today, nothing annoys me more than Facebook and other communications technologies, such as cell phones. Therefore, for this assignment, I chose to write a satire on Facebook and countless teenagers' ovsession with the ever-expanding socieal network in this technologically advanced era. To further demonstrate my purpose in writing this satire, I chose to write from the persona of a teenage girl in an effor to further mock those obsessed with updating their statuses.

Like, omg, why do I have so much homework to do? I'd much rather be on Facebook chatting with my friends. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll just check my wall right now... forget school. I'll use my phone; it's so convenient to have access to the world wide wev at all times--I can never get enough of it. Right, I'm on. Looks like Lindsey and John broke up...ugh, and they were such a cute couple...I'd better message her right now...let her know how sorry I am and how much I really care for her. Okay, now what? Oh yeah, I know... I should post another comment on my wall. Maybe people will like it and pay more attention to me; maybe all of my 5,282 friends will finally realize how witty and funny I can be. That reminds me... I need to accept all eith of my friend request. I will now have let's see 1,2,3,... 5,290 friends!!! Oh, I'm so happy.
