As much as I hate war and the consequences and repercussions it creates, I think in certain situations it is needed. I believe that there is a time for war. I wish with all my heart that war didn't have to exist, but unfortunately that is just the way we as humans have evolved. From the beginning of time, war was a natural instinct of survival. No one will ever agree on everything and in some extreme cases, there isn't exactly an alternative available. It would be great if we could all get along, but that's just not how we are wired. there are always going to be people who disagree and usually the option is to go to war against the enemy.
If people are attacking, we have to take precautions, and the only way to ultimately protect ourselves from these attacks is to go to war. Take Pearl Harbor, for example. In WWII, we didn't want to go to war, but we got attacked and we had to do something about it. Our only option was to join the great war. As much as I wish there was an alternative, there just isn't a way to get around war. It has been a way of life since the beginning of time and we can't suddenly just try something else because of the possible consequences it could pose. when people are endangered by something or someone else, it is the duty of that country to protect their citizens and therefore it is their job to go to war to protect their nation and people. Luckily, we have brave souls that go to fight for us and today being Veteran's Day, we all need to extend a thank you to those who fight or our country and risk their lives to save ours.
War may not exactly be morally right, but sometimes it's the only choice we have. As far as fighting goes, it is human instinct and a method of protection for all of us. So whether it is morally right or not, there's not anything else we can do except to pray for those who do fight for us and our nation.
