I am the Snake Man

To the snake man's cabin I say, to the snake man's cabin! in event of the zombie apocalypse I would do that which I've debated doing already: pack up my guns knives and supplies and head out to western Kentucky to survive by myself in the wilderness. Backing up to the Cumberland river sits a 500 acre plot of land that has been farmed to be rich in wildlife by my great uncle. Right upon the Cumberland River, below a very steep bluff, rests the snake mans cabin. The snake man's cabin is a small 1 room cabin that an old hermit, the snake man, used to live in. I would build shelter in or near this cabin, completely secluded in the woods, and with one side backing up to the Cumberland river. Using traps, knives, bows, and other reusable told, i would make my livelihood from the land, fishing, hunting, and gathering. In a true apocalypse, where there is no hope of rescue, living this way is the only way that makes sense. Gasoline, supplies, bullets; they all run dry eventually. Living secluded from everybody else, using only renewable resources is the only way that one can expect to survive in any apocalypse long term.
A side note: One important aspect of surviving is sleeping. You cannot protect yourself while asleep. Therefore, i would try to find a coffin that can be locked and opened from the inside. Coffins are portable, generally very comfortable and probably warm, and would keep a person completely protected while asleep. Plus, ain't no motherfucker in their right mind going to mess with a COFFIN in the zombie apocalypse!
