To the snake man's cabin I say, to the snake man's cabin! in
event of the zombie apocalypse I would do that which I've debated doing
already: pack up my guns knives and supplies and head out to western Kentucky to survive by
myself in the wilderness. Backing up to the Cumberland
river sits a 500 acre plot of land that has been farmed to be rich
in wildlife by my great uncle. Right upon the Cumberland
River , below a very steep bluff, rests the snake mans cabin. The
snake man's cabin is a small 1 room cabin that an old hermit, the snake man,
used to live in. I would build shelter in or near this cabin, completely
secluded in the woods, and with one side backing up to the Cumberland
river . Using traps, knives, bows, and other reusable told, i would
make my livelihood from the land, fishing, hunting, and gathering. In a true
apocalypse, where there is no hope of rescue, living this way is the only way
that makes sense. Gasoline, supplies, bullets; they all run dry eventually.
Living secluded from everybody else, using only renewable resources is the only
way that one can expect to survive in any apocalypse long term.
A side note: One important aspect of surviving
is sleeping. You cannot protect yourself while asleep. Therefore, i would try
to find a coffin that can be locked and opened from the inside. Coffins are
portable, generally very comfortable and probably warm, and would keep a person
completely protected while asleep. Plus, ain't no motherfucker in their right
mind going to mess with a COFFIN in the zombie apocalypse!
