Not a word was spoken

The church doors open, and the bride steps in. An organ is heard playing that traditional tune. She is stunning, dressed in the purest of white with her heard bowed behind a veil and her thumbs tap tap tapping just below her breast. Everyone stares in awe at her beauty through high-resolution screens and snap away at instantly uploaded pictures. This moment must be well documented. The beaming groom records the procession on his phone, which is being uploaded live for friends and family to watch.
As the bride arrives at her fiancĂ©’s side, her thoughts are instantly shared with everyone in the room, her family, her friends, and everyone she has ever known or might know. The organ stops, and an usher begin the recording. Available for all religions, languages, and backgrounds, the Prerecorded Priest app is a necessity for such an occasion. A serious yet joyful voice fills the room, reciting the ceremonial preamble to the fateful moment. When it calls for any who oppose this union, the best man raises his hand with a grin. Everyone laughs, but only those previously informed had their devices prepared for that timely picture, and only they will get the likes and retweets. The voice continues, pausing to allow the bride and groom to send their responses to that momentous question. The rings, the kiss, the applause, all accompanied by the near silent touch of finger to screen.
The newlyweds burst out of the church followed by a stream of guests and flashing lights. A gorgeous black limousine is waiting for the couple, and the driver opens the door to expose it’s patented leather interior. The couple climbs in, the new husband punches in the address on the robotic driver, and they are whisked off to their hotel to prepare for the reception that evening. In the quiet limousine, the couple sits in silence, for they have nothing to say.
