White Noise

My family is full of Apple junkies, there is no shame in this statement. My Dad and I both love our iPhones, our Macbooks, iMac, iPad.. even our twenty year old green Macintosh that would block any missile. That somewhat irrelevant fun family fact being said, I use my Macbook and iPhone to listen to my music every single day. When I’m getting ready in the morning, when I’m driving to school, when I go for a run, when I’m doing homework, when I’m brushing my teeth, when I’m cooking dinner; simply everything that doesn’t require intense concentration.

I just decided to go through the top 5 most-listened songs in my library for this nifty playlist ordeal type thingy.

1.     Future Primitive by Papercuts: This song is probably one of my all time favorites. I can’t get enough of the lead singers muted vocals, and the whizzing and purring of the instrumentals is perfect for almost any daily situation.
2.     Keep Askin by Citizen Cope: Big ol’ virtual shout out to Ben Swanson for introducing me to this band. I love this song because it reminds me of driving in a car with rain on the windshields and seeing that glimmer of light after the storm passes.
3.     Wouldn’t It Be Nice by The Beach Boys: Seriously, I just love The Beach Boys. Pet Sounds is my favorite album of all time.
4.     If Only by The Kooks: Classic pump-up song for the people that dance in front of their mirrors and singing into a hairbrush.
5.     Spooky Jookie by Man Man: The lyrical beauty that is Honus Honus (Ryan Kattner) catches my attention every time I hear this song (or any others, honestly. I’m a Man Man CD junkie). I have an equal love for all of their songs, so choosing this one would be no different than the 30 others.
