the answer does not exist

as i sit at my computer to type out my answer to the prompt i think i have reached the conclusion that this question has no answer for me. i believe that good and evil are limitations that we place around actions in an attempt to better understand them and sometimes to better control them. such limitations are often arbitrary changing with time and culture. for each person there exists what is good and what is evil. but for the world these do not exist. what is good for me may be evil for you. but then i reach this thought that i can not get past. sometimes evil is evil. flying planes into two towers and causing the deaths of thousands of people is evil. no matter how you spin that one it is evil. on the flip side of that coin right is good. devoting your life to the service of the sick while asking nothing in  return is good. loving unconditionally is good. unfortunately situations are typically not this easily decided. and now comes in the personal decision of what is right and wrong. and i can not seem to reconcile that good and evil exist in different forms for each individual person and yet there is good and evil. or maybe this good and evil are simply My good and evil but for someone else good and evil are different. i suppose this is what is referred to as the gray area.
