- How often do you use your ipod (or phone or whatnot)? What is your perfect playlist for ____ (fill in the blank - it could be your perfect playlist for a sunny day, for a road trip, for thanksgiving, etc.) Choose 5 songs, note the song and artist and why you chose this song.
If I went a day without listening to music, I would go crazy. Music is my life. I listen to my iPod when I'm working out, doing homework, hanging out with friends, even sleeping. Falling asleep can become a chore if I don't have my earphones in. I listen to all kinds of music, whether its the mainstream radio songs, oldies, alternative, dub step, country, I love it all. I'm the type of person who hits the shuffle button and loves every single song that comes on. All of the playlists on my iPod have the most random assortment of songs and many of these playlists don't have names; they have the generic "Playlist 1, Playlist 2, ect.," names. Because of this, I do not have a perfect playlist. I also can not use my top 5 most played songs in my music library either because I am constantly putting the shuffle button to use. Instead, I went through all my playlists and tried to find the songs I reused the most. This is what I came up with (not in order):
1) Dancing in the Dark- Bruce Springsteen. This song will never get old for me. Springsteen's music always gets me pumped up and in a good mood. I also know this is a good song to play in the car with my parents because they are huge Springsteen fans, and it means that we won't be fighting over what music to listen to.
2) Skinny Love-Bon Iver. This song is one of my favorite songs because I am obsessed with Justin Vernon's (the lead singer) voice. Even though it can be difficult to understand, his voice is soothing and it calms me down. I also love the guitar in this song; if i ever learned to play the guitar, this would be the first song I would try.
3) Born and Raised- John Mayer. I LOVE this song. I am a huge John Mayer fan and this title song on his newest album is probably my favorite of his work. It always puts me in the best mood with the carefree melody and beautiful harmonica is the background.
4) Last Kiss- Taylor Swift. This song was probably my favorite song for the longest time. I used to be a HUGE Taylor Swift song, and I still like her music. I don't care what people think, I think she is good person and her music speaks to a lot of people. Although I am drifting away from Swift's music, I must put this song on the list because its probably one of my most played songs on my music library.
5) Knee Deep- Zac Brown Band. This song is a great song. Zac Brown Band is one of my favorites and this song always makes me smile. The lyrics take me away to the paradise Zac Brown sings about, and it makes me relax. I can listen to this song anytime and I will never skip it or press the next button.
