The War Inside

I believe that good and evil are two very real things that every person in the world has to experience every day. The true battle between good and evil takes place within every person’s mind, body, and self-conscience. Whether you’re making the trivial decision to hold the door for someone or not, or you’re forming that malicious plan to get revenge on someone who has wringed you, the battle is constantly raging inside. The interesting part about all this is that you always know what would be good and what would be evil. For example, if you’re making the decision of whether or not to hold the door for someone, you know that holding the door is the good decision, and that passing by, knowing you refused to do good to someone purposefully, would be an evil act. Personally, I believe that the world was intended to be a good place, a perfect place, but it was when man allowed sin to enter the world when evil claimed the earth, and corrupted the perfect being that used to be man. As for the conclusion of this great battle, I believe that whenever God so chooses, Evil will consume the earth, and only those who truly desired to do good with their lives will be saved from the evil world, then God will destroy the evil world, and once and for all, good will prevail, just as every good battle movie ends, because for me, the fact that good will one day prevail is the only hope for the dying world.
