Good vs. Evil

I do not believe in absolute evil or good because good people can do bad things and vise versa evil people can do good things. Like when darth vader saves luke by killing darth sidious in star wars. I do however believe in a battle between good and evil, because some peoples views and actions are so  horrible to other humnas, animals and this earth that it can be considered evil. And those who fight against the evil to protect themselves and others can be seen as purely good, but in reality they are not purely good. I think good and evil don't have to exist but will always exist. Even in societies like big brother and One State there is the essence of good, but is really wrapped in evil. These two things seem to go hand in hand. As long as there is one, the other one will always be there. Wherever there is good, evil is lurking around the corner. They cannot be eliminated because of this. I would define evil as any form of attempt to put others or something in harms way for a purpose to increase something for your own benefit, such as money or power. I would consider good as anything that brings pleasure or happiness to others through your actions, such as putting others before you.
