How often do you use your ipod (or phone or whatnot)? What is your perfect playlist for ____ (fill in the blank - it could be your perfect playlist for a sunny day, for a road trip, for thanksgiving, etc.) Choose 5 songs, note the song and artist and why you chose this song.
For my sixteenth birthday, I was gifted a black iPhone 4S, and it probably goes down as one of the best days of my life. I had interacted with one before, but having the ownership of the speed of the A5 apple chip and all the iOS 5 features was something entirely different. I am almost constantly on my phone whether it be passing the time by listening to music or playing a game, or texting my friends and/or family. I would say about 2/3 of my waking hours are spend interacting with my phone, most of that being music time.
My perfect playlist for now :
The genre of music I'm listening to pretty much stays in the range of punk to hardcore. However I tend to listen to one to two bands at a time and they usually change about every other week, so this would be the perfect playlist for what I'm listening to right now.
(In no particular order) I have a thing for album artwork, thats why I included it with each song.
1.) "Another Song About The Weekend" by A Day To Remember
From ADTR's album "Homesick" |
2)"Besitos"by Pierce The Veil
From PTV's album "Selfish Machines) |
The intro to this song sends me into a dancing mood every single time it comes on. The mexican flavor it brings to the hardcore roots of the band creates a super catchy song that I listen to every morning to wake up. This is by far the most unique band I listen to.
From PTV's album "Collide With The Sky |
This song is fast, heavy, and the melodic parts are so very catchy. I really enjoy the bass parts in this song, and this is the song that actually inspired me to give playing bass guitar a shot. This one is a headbanger. Also the music for this video is amazing. Check it out: King For A Day Official Music Video has some explicit lyrics.
4) "The First Punch" by Pierce The Veil
If you haven't noticed, I'm really into PTV right now. This song is also a very heavy one, but I also love the chorus, and find myself singing it in the hallways often.
5)"Collapse (Post-Amerika)" by Rise Against
From Rise Against's album "Appeal To Reason" |
