Well Hello There

Hi! I'm Carter Brewer. I am 16 years old, and I have lived in good ole Lexington, Ky for my entire life. I have two younger sisters named Clay and Smith. As we have already established in class, we all have boy names (or last names). I personally think that our names sound like a law firm..."Carter, Clay, and Smith, how may I help you?".  Anyways, I have a dog. He is an adorable, tiny Jack Russel Terrier named Pogo. I'm obsessed with music; I have to listen to it constantly. I'm a pretty friendly person; I love my friends and making new ones. Being around people just makes me happy.
My goals this year are pretty much the same as everyone else's, make good grades, score high on the AP tests as well as the ACT and PSAT.  I would also like to start doing more extracurricular activities, not just with school, but outside school volunteer opportunities.
If I had to pick a super power, it would definitely  be invisibility. I would love nothing more than to be able to  listen in on secret conversations, or scare the living daylights out of somebody.
My most meaningful part of my summer is a tricky question to answer. I had an amazing summer. For the first month, I volunteered at a program called FACE. This program is at Cassidy Elementary and it deals with refugee kids that live in Lexington. I got to help them learn their English, as well as teach them things like Art, Science, ect. The other part of my summer was spending a month at the best place on earth: Camp Seafarer. Camp Seafarer is a YMCA camp located in Arapahoe, North Carolina. This summer I was able to be a CILT or a Camper In Leadership Training, which meant I was perceived as a counselor by the campers, but I'm not quite old enough to be one yet. I could go on and on all day about why camp is my favorite place on earth but for the sake of everyone, I'll be concise. I love camp because it is the place where I can be me. I know it sounds cliche, but camp is a place with no judgement. You can prance around in bikinis and wear bows in your hair and sing at the top of your lungs even when there is no music. Camp is my  life and I don't know if you can tell but Camp Seafarer is what geeks me out. I love it and I love being a part of it. Next summer, I am going to try to go back for the whole summer to be a Counselor. Kids are also what geeks me out, which ties in with Seafarer, but I love them! They are so cute and I love to be around them.
Okay, I don't think I'm missing anything, so here is my favorite website: http://pinterest.com/. I am obsessed with this website because it has everything from food, to fashion, to technology, to anything you can think of. Check it out when you have the chance!

My picture is a picture of Camp Seafarer!
