Pushing Forward

In all honesty, I hate advice. But in hind-sight, advice is key when you aren't thinking straight. I'm not an open person unless I'm close with someone; therefore, this post will be extremely vague.

Pushing forward--that's the advice that remains in the back of my brain from day in to day out. Whether I've had a really hard, long day or I'm just in a pissed off mood, pushing forward is always the advice I get. I have a few extremely close friends and when I go to them for help, they give me advice and try to cheer me up. And no matter how much I try to bury that advice under excuses, I can't help but keep in mind the one last thing they've said: "just keep pushing forward."

It may seem stupid, but it actually makes sense. There's no need to rush into things and try to figure out the world's problems in a matter of minutes or hours, but pushing forward and taking it one step at a time is what really helps me and puts everything into perspective.

The effect on me is quite clear: I'm still here right? Because I keep pushing forward.
