Real fun
Oh boy, oh boy; junior year. It has been one heck of a year, so many things different, for better and for worse. I should have listened when they said junior year would be important and I need to give it all I got, but of course I didn't listen because I was an ignorant sophomore excited to become an upperclassmen and walk the hallways wearing the experience those youngins didn't quite have yet. The beginning of this year smacked me in the face and made me realize how serious everything is... that every grade you made, every class you took, every extracurricular you participated in, every hour you logged for community service, every activity you completed during your "spare" time -heck- even every book you read, determined your future. Those things told where you could go to college, if you could get in to college, which in return has a pretty good influence on what you do with the rest of your life. Geez, not only with that pressure, I also learned how competitive everything is now; in the words of my counselor I needed to learn how to "stand out". Everyone now knows that the best grades, extracurriculars, and service opportunities will get you into the best colleges, so everyone is competing to be THE BEST. Now I'm sure that first semester next year will probably be worse with everyone applying and whatnot, but I am glad this year is almost done, so I can go and relax (?) this summer at camp. This year has been stressful, irritating, difficult, fun, and exciting all at the same time and I'm ready to peace out. So on that note, bye 6th hour English blog, it's been real and it's been fun but it hasn't been real fun.
