playlist

this is a good playlist for a warm rainy day, one of the most enjoyable types of weather. cold rainy days are completely different and one of the most miserable types of weather. all of these songs i associate with a warm summer rain, where you can just smell the sweet dustiness of the impending rain and watch the clouds swell as the first droplets stain the ground. i love summer rains.

this song makes me feel like i have just injected heroin into my bloodstream.
riders on the storm by the doors
this song starts with the sound of rain and thunder so obviously it is a good fit for this playlist. but this song just feels like rain.
where is my mind? by the pixies
reminds me of whale songs which reminds me of water which reminds me of rain.
that wave by XTC
i love XTC because they have such poetic lyrics. and also the ocean/water/rain theme is continued not only by subject matter but also by how the song like,  feels, man.
where's it at (death heated) by death grips
death grips is so badass and it belongs on any playlist.
glory box by portishead
the live version is better than the studio version. things with that oldschool sounding fuzz always sound rainy to me.

feels rainy. at least it does to me.
i could probably go on all day because warm rain playlists are probably my favorite to make (after hot sunny day) (and warm summer night)
