Assignment number 7

On this day in 1862, the battle of Perryville took place during the American Cicil War.In this battle Union forces, under the leadership of General Don Carlos Buell, halted the advancement of confederate forces into kentucky. I think this was a positive event, because It made kentucky what it is today, withou that victory, many views and opinions of those living in kentucky would be altered. This event didn't affect the world, but it sure did affect Kentucky and possibly the entire United States of America. If the union had won that battle, it could've altered the outcome of the war and change the future completely.I appreciate this event, because It made our country what it is today, and although we are in a panic right now, we are still one of the greatest countries in the world. and this battle could've possible changed that forever. So i would greatly appreciate this ocuurence because it got me where I am today.
