What would you do without your cell phone? On October 13th, 1983 the company Ameritech Mobile Communications, known as AT&T, was the first company in the United States to release a mobile phone to the general public. This event may not be known historically, but I think that it is a very important date for our country. This event was very good because cell phones are a huge part of our daily lives. They certainly have had a major influence on this entire world including my existence. I use my cell phone on a daily bases, and I would guess more than 90% of other cell phone users use it too. They have made communication so much easier  with its super fast delivery and response ability. They have stimulated the economy..there are so many cell phones being made and purchased every day, they have also improved safety, like if someone has an accident, or is in trouble, 911 is literally a phone call away. I absolutely appreciate the cell phone release because cell phones have shaped the way we live our lives today, and I can honestly say I don't know where we would be without them.
