The girl on fire

If I had to choose a fictional character, I would hands down be Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games Trilogy. I don't care if she's mainstream or whatever, I love her!! I am obsessed with the books (I've read the whole series twice, and The Hunger Games three times), and Katniss is my favorite character, Peeta as a close second. There are too many adjectives to describe why I love her, but to sum it all up she's selfless, brave, and strong-not in the physical sense. Katniss shows her selflessness when she volunteers for her sister to enter the doomed Hunger Games, and when she helps Rue in the arena. She portrays bravery throughout the series: in the games, against the capital, for her family, the list goes on. Katniss is strong. She has to suffer from death and loss, she has to be a leader for the rebellion, she has to win to help keep her family in tact, and she doesn't do this without difficulty, but every time, she powers through. I admire Katniss, and I hope that I could display some of her character traits in my life. Okay, I know this is short and uninformative, but I am just really tired, so I apologize.
