nobody knows what this series is but idgaf

If I could be any fictional character, I’d be Clover from Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.  I highly highly highly recommend playing this game and if you’re intelligent enough to listen to my advice, turn away now, because this will be spoilerific and honestly if this game is spoiled then there’s no real reason to play it, as the whole game hinges on its intricate story. Actually, nobody should read this because everyone who hasn’t played this game should go out and get it now and finish it first.

That being said, I love Clover simply because she is such a complex character. Her outward joy belies her internal trauma over the Nonary Game she was forced to play nine years ago. She struggles to retain her innocence after what she’s experienced; she acts like a child to live out the childhood she was robbed of after she was kidnapped. She appears a bubbly, ditzy girl, but inwardly she possesses a sort of strength and perseverance that makes you respect her. On the other hand, her strong connection with her brother draws out her inner evil when it appears he has been killed. I don’t know what it is with me and women in fiction who turn evil, but Clover is a perfect showcase for my strange affinity. She is certain of the two people who are his killers, so she devises an elaborate trick that will ensure she is alone with the two of them and ends up axe-murdering the both of them as well as one of the characters who tried to protect them. And in one of the most awesomely gruesome scenes I’ve ever witnessed in a video game, she chops off Junpei’s arm simply because she needs his bracelet to open the number 9 door. By this point there is nothing left of what she once was; her brother being her only friend, his perceived death renders her emotionless, and the darker, hidden part of her emerges. I love the scene simply because it’s so cruel and morbid, two things I for some reason seem to have a penchant for. But in a way, I don’t believe she’s truly cruel; I almost admire her for loving her brother so deeply that she would go to any point to avenge him. That takes dedication. I don’t know. I just love Clover. I’m done.
