Quis custodiet ipsos custodes

If I could be any fictional character, I would definitely have to pick Dr. Manhattan from the book Watchmen. He is by far the most powerful character I have ever come across in any work of fiction. He is, in essence, a pure external consciousness that has complete control over not only his own form, but of all pieces of matter. He can also manipulate all energy around him, giving him unlimited strength as well as the ability to fly and move objects with his mind. He is also completely invincible, as he truly exists only as a transcended consciousness, because he can instantly heal or put himself back together. The list of things he can do is almost endless, but one of the best parts about this character is that he doesn't act smug or try to enslave the human race (something well within his power). Instead, he demonstrates a higher moral understanding by continually contributing to science and empirically deducing that all life is beautiful. While some may argue that he loses touch with humanity and has a hard time keeping a stable relationship, he is definitely the most powerful character ever with morals to match.
